It's official - Molly is now the proud owner of two teeth! I was checking her mouth again on Wednesday and was finally able to spot it right next to tooth number one. She's been drooling and fussing and chewing on everything, so I figured it was on its way. Since she now has both of her front, bottom incisors, it'll be interesting to see if the top ones make a speedy appearance (since Max's did). In light of her new chewing needs, it seems that both the pacifier and the thumb have fallen out of favor and been replaced by fingers.

Molly started blowing baby raspberries this weekend and came
so close to rolling from back to front (that pesky arm got in the way). She really enjoys playing with her toys and she's started passing things from hand to hand. One of Max's favorite new games is to bring Molly all the toys from her pack and play ... one by one. This is especially true when I'm nursing her, and usually by the time she's finished, Molly and I are half buried in toys and blankets. Of course, that is preferable to the other "fun" game of taking all of Molly's dollies and throwing them on the floor (with sound effects). Max has also discovered that, in addition to taking off his own socks, it is awfully amusing to take off his sister's socks (on the rare occasion when she hasn't managed to kick them off herself).

Max is finally warming up to his swim classes. He whined through all of the first class and half of the second class, but this week he splashed right in and had a blast. This is the instructor's first time teaching a class on her own and I think the lesson plans she learned were geared towards older kids. She finally figured out that the best way to make two year olds happy is to give them an object and then encourage them to throw it. ;) They then have to "swim" over to their toy so they can throw it again. Since throwing stuff is one of Max's favorite things to do on dry land, he started to think that swimming wasn't such a terrible thing after all. Now if only we could convince him that the shower that he has to take after swim class wasn't so horrible!
