My Funny Valentines

After the Valentines Day NapHappy Valentine's Day!

It's much harder getting a picture of Max and Molly together (and looking relatively content) than you might suppose. I haven't had much better luck when I take them to get professional pictures done, so I guess I shouldn't feel too bad! We had a nice Valentine's Day, although neither Dad nor I get too worked up about this particular holiday. We put the babies to bed, cooked up a nice dinner, and sat in front of the fireplace and enjoyed the quiet house. Molly has been a very bad sleeper this last week, so we were amazed that we were actually able to eat our entire meal in peace. I'd forgotten that food is usually supposed to be eaten hot!

Let Sleeping Dogs (and Babies) Lie IIISince she outgrew her bassinet a while ago, we finally got Molly a proper crib. Because she isn't sleeping through the night yet (or even close), we crammed the crib in our bedroom and are starting to work on getting her into a better bedtime routine. Since she'll eventually be moving in with Max, and since Max is such a light sleeper, she needs to be sleeping better before we even want to attempt that arrangement. Right now, she's taking sore advantage of "Molly Hour." After I get Max all tucked into bed, I always enjoy spending some quality one-on-one time with Molly (i.e. "Molly Hour"). Lately, however, Molly seems to have decided to stretch "Molly Hour" into "Molly 24-Hour." She's been waking up about every 1 1/2 - 2 hours ALL NIGHT LONG and insisting that I hold her (and/or nurse her) before she'll go back to sleep. We can't figure out if her reflux is acting up or if she has gas or if she just wants Mom to hold her. But, it was about this same time (if you adjust for prematurity) that Max started to throw some bedtime baby fits and we had to work out a bedtime routine/schedule for him. So, Molly probably has some bedtime boot camp in her future. ;)

DH is going through the same thing with Justin right now, every hour. If you come up with a solution please let me know. :)
