Operation Sleep: The Fifth Night

Tuffet? Ha!Last night went much better than the previous night -- shrieks of outrage were kept to a minimum. Molly nursed right at 11 p.m. and then went back to sleep until 1:30 a.m. When she woke up, I picked her up and held her for a few minutes. Instead of nursing, she seemed content to lay her head on my chest -- she seemed to take comfort in the fact that her "Mmmmbies" were still there, even if she wasn't allowed to nurse. I put her back to bed and she went to sleep. When she woke up again a half hour later, I put her into bed with me and she quickly fell asleep. She didn't wake up again until 5:30 a.m., at which point she was allowed to nurse. She did managed to start my day off with a good chuckle, because when she finished nursing, she looked up at me, laughed, and said, "Boobies! Ta-da!"

Ever since Night Four, she's been a little extra needy about nursing during the day. I think she's afraid that the nighttime nursing ban might suddenly extend to other parts of the day. Either that, or cutting out the nighttime feeds has made her hungrier during the day. She did have her MMR vaccination on Tuesday, so I suppose she might be a little out of sorts from that as well. In spite of some good naps today, she was very tired tonight and was asking to go to sleep at 6 p.m. Hopefully, tonight won't be too rough for any of us. [Note: Given the recent lack of sleep around these parts and the time change, today's entry gets a recycled photo, because I didn't have a chance to take a new one today. I'll try to do better tomorrow!]
