Ever Thankful

ThankfulThis year, given the trials and hardship that people all over the country (not to mention the world) are facing, I'm extra thankful for all the "normal" stuff -- I'm thankful that Dad and I both have jobs. I'm thankful that we have a roof over our heads, food on the table, and clothes on our back. I'm thankful for all of our friends and family that have loved us and supported us over the years (and continue to do so).

I'm thankful that my husband never forgets to tell me how much he loves me. He always lets me know that I'm still the apple of his eye and makes me feel special and beautiful ... even when I'm wearing sweats, haven't showered, and haven't had a full night's sleep in four years. I'm also thankful for my parents -- I never fully appreciated them until I had my own kids, but I think they did a bang-up job.

I'm thankful for coffee ... really and truly. And ice cream. Both at the same time is even better!

And, even though it is the "normal" stuff, I'm really thankful for my kids ... every single day. I can't ever take them for granted because it would have just taken the tiniest tip of the scale and they might not have been here at all.
