"I Cannot Be-LIEVE It!"

If you've seen as many Little Einsteins episodes as I have, that phrase is all too familiar, and it pretty much sums up my day. I was trying to avoid posting this entry, hoping I would have finally caught up on my back blogging/photoing by now, but it seems that the Fates are conspiring against me. I know I mentioned our computer troubles previously, and it appears that our technology woes are not yet over. Not only did was our new computer defective and the replacement that Dell sent unacceptable, but the newest new computer (that we ordered from an entirely different company) decided to go on strike after less than a month of use. I know I'm hard on my computers, but sheesh! Sooooo, I'll be posting some back blogs and back photos when/if I can wrestle them back from our sorry excuse for a souped up 'puter (that is if I survive another round with tech support). So, stay tuned to hear about Molly and Big Sister's birthday party! Find out how Max handled his first day of preschool! Learn even more about the toileting habits of my children! See what (silly, lame) thing we cooked up for International Talk Like a Pirate Day! Try to hide your excitement. ;)

First Day of Preschool

Going to SchoolMax had his first day of preschool today. He was so excited and talked about it all morning. I had a hard time getting any good pictures of him at school, because all he wanted to do was beeline to his classroom (and ignore that pesky Mama with the camera). He walked in, said hi to his teacher, and he and Molly made a beeline for the playdough table. Max didn't blink when we said goodbye and left, but Molly really wanted to stay and play with all the fun toys. I think Molly had a harder time of it than Max did -- while he was at school she kept asking where he was and saying, "I want my Max."

Tag-a-LongWhen we came to pick him up, he was sitting at a table with the rest of the kids eating snack -- he looked so big sitting there. He didn't even seem all that glad to see us -- he was too busy trying to charm another little boy's mom into letting him mess with her camera. He did have a bit of that "deer in the headlights look" when we came to collect him -- I think he was really tired. He told us all about his day and he already said he wants to go see Mrs. P- (his teacher) again. When we went to orientation, only four boys total (including Max) were signed up for Pre-3. As it turned out, the class size has already grown from the original four boys to eight kids (with at least three little girls now), so I'm happy about that.

Max's ClassroomI have to say, it was totally weird to drive away from the school, knowing that I had _left_ my little boy behind. He's never been in the care of anyone except Dad, myself, and the grandmas -- it was hard to leave and trust someone else to look after him. I'm so glad he did well and enjoyed his first day. Preschool apparently wore him out, though -- I put both kids in bed before 7 and didn't hear a peep out of them for the rest of the night. *sniff* My baby is growing up too fast! I can't believe we'll be sending Molly off to school next year!

Pre-School

We'd love to stay around and chat, but ...

See you after preschool!
